Programs and services

TCBA works together with other organizations to provide free legal clinics throughout the year, generally held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.  Advance signup is required through Southeastern Ohio Legal Services (330-339-3998).

President Dwight Eisenhower designated May 1 as Law Day in the United States.  It is promoted annually by federal, state, and local bar associations to educate the public about the practice and rule of law.  The TCBA annually sponsors trips to our local courts for high school students to see justice in action. 

TCBA members coach local high school students as they participate in the Ohio Mock Trial Competition each winter and spring.  Students team up as attorneys, witnesses, and a bailiff to enact a trial based upon a statewide hypothetical civil or criminal case.  The local district competition includes five counties and is judged by TCBA members.  Winners advance to regional and state championship rounds.

TCBA annually awards scholarships for students at KSU-Tuscarawas for county residents enrolled full-time at the branch.  Inquiries should be directed to KSU-Tuscarawas.
